Roovils are Trees who have been possesed by darkness. If you meet one of these in the woods, then you are most likely done for. They strangle their pray with their tough roots. The Treefiend's habitat is in Woods or Forest, preferably woods or forests that lack sunlight. While this species can be both genders, there are more male Roovils than female. A difference between male and Female Roovils is that males have 2 times longer roots. Roovils and Carnivorous Plants have an alliance and hunt many times together. The only thing they fear besides the all mighty Dark is Fire! If you have anything lit on fire like a candle, they will leave you alone and won't attack you, and run away.
